Rosemary Garlic Infused Olive Oil

I have been wanting to infuse oil for sometime now. My mom got me these great bottles for Christmas so I decided to try my hand at it. And just as I thought, it is beyond easy. This is a super easy way to add flavor to any dish (okay...maybe not cupcakes...but you understand what I mean). I should also note that if you are using fresh herbs from your garden (as I did), make sure to wash and dry them thoroughly. Moisture on the herbs can introduce bacteria into the oil. Just make sure your herbs are 100% dry before using.

Orange Cookies

Cake mix and cool whip...not something you would think would make delicious cookies. I had to try this recipe not only because of the ingredients but the simplicity of it. I initially didn't think these cookies would be very good, but it turns out you end up with a cookie that tastes like a orange creamsicle. This is a quick and easy recipe for those late night sugar cravings.

Peanut Butter Mousse Topped Cheesecake

It's my boyfriends birthday today! I made this cheesecake specifically for the large amounts of peanut butter. He loves anything with peanut butter. This cheesecake tastes amazing (the mousse is my favorite part)! If you have got the time, I highly recommend this one.

Cream of Broccoli Soup

This recipe is one of my favorites. My mom has been making this for me ever since I can remember. It is thick and creamy with a great flavor. It is a straightforward recipe and only takes about an hour to make. I suggest having crescent rolls for dipping. It is delicious!

How To: Cut and de-seed a Pomegranate

I love pomegranates! This is one of my favorite fruits not only because it tastes amazing but it is a super food and is very good for you. I use the juice for smoothies, a morning wake up shot, or with a little champagne...yum yum! More recently I started coming across more and more recipes asking for pomegranate arils (seeds). You can buy them just on their own, but apparently not in my area. So I decided to teach myself how to cut a pomegranate and extract the arils myself. Oh and a quick side note, the arils can be eaten as a snack and they are delicious. Like little seeded grapes.

Cast iron pans are a wonderful thing. They cook food great and last forever. But I think people tend to stay away from them because they are scared about the maintenance. Taking care of cast iron is not too bad, and the plus side is good maintenance will keep your pan looking like new for years.

Garlic Ginger Dressing

One of my favorite meals, is also what I consider one of my "lazy" meals. On those days that are a little busy and I do not feel like cooking, this is an easy throw together dinner. Grabbing whatever salad is on sale and a freshly cooked rotisserie chicken, I cut up the chicken and toss it on top of the salad, and Tada! A simple dinner. I am a huge fan of ranch dressing which is typically what I use, but it is nice to mix things up a bit. My boyfriend made this dressing for our "lazy" salad and it was amazing. I always worry that homemade dressings will have no flavor, but not this one. The ginger and garlic is strong but not overwhelming and tastes great with the chicken. I think I have a new favorite dressing. :D
